The department also has a pain management program as well of patients who need it.
The department takes an active part in managing patients in the trauma / emergency ward and in the intensive medical and surgical care units. 24 Hours Pre and Post Anaesthesia Care service program has been established and implemented by the Anaesthesiology team. The operation theatres of the Hospital are well equipped with modern anaesthetic machines with adequate safety devices. All theatres have patient monitoring systems.
THE CARDIOTHORACIC ANESTHESIA TEAM PROVIDES ANESTHESIA AND CRITICAL CARE FOR PATIENTS FOR CARDIOTHORACIC SURGICAL PRACTICE.
The team of anesthesiologists of the Hospitals provide full spectrum of Pre-operative anesthesia services for cardio thoracic and vascular surgical patients including full time presence in the Cardiothoracic ICU respiratory care and post-operative pain management.

The team consists of expert senior anesthetists with vast experience and strong competence in patient management. The team has experience of anesthesia management of patients, undergoing open surgeries (coronary artery bypass grafting, beating heart CABG, Redo CABG, Valve replacements (MVR, AVR, DVR) surgeries for aortic aneurysms, congenital heart diseases like ASD, VSD, Tetrology of Fallot and complex procedures for congenital heart diseases like total CAVO pulmonary connection, arterial switch operation, Senning operation, conduit replacement etc.
The team has experience in giving anesthesia for transplantation. The team also has vast experience in managing Pediatric surgical patients including all ages from one day old to 21 years and weighing 3kgs onwards. Team has expertise in handling neonates and infants.
The team has extensive experience in providing round the clock coverage for all patients undergoing surgeries for all types diseases covered under the various specialties dealt by the Hospital.
